GD Rectifiers is thrilled to be involved with Mid Sussex Science Week this year, which runs from 8-12th July, with an exhibition day at Haywards Heath College on Friday 12th July 2024. The 9 primary schools will present their projects to an experienced panel of judges, including GD Rectifiers’ Managing Director, Paul Bentley.

Local businesses will also be exhibiting within the exhibition hall, giving the children an insight into the different STEM careers available. In the afternoon the judges will announce the winners followed by an incredible science show. Mid Sussex Science Week is set to ignite curiosity, inspire innovation and celebrate the incredible world of science and GD Rectifiers can’t wait to see all the wonderful school projects.

Mid Sussex Science Week has been running for 6 years and first launched in 2015. Mid Sussex Science Week was founded by local councillor Pete Bradbury with support from Phil Todd, who is now the Chairman of the organising committee. It is an annual event organised by volunteers of local businesses, schools, local authority and local universities and trusts.

The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) event  is supported by Government and local authority to assist in education and careers support. STEM events are designed to have a positive impact on not only pupils but teachers, technicians and others working with young people.
