CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator

  • Location: Burgess Hill, West Sussex
  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
  • Benefits: 28 days’ holiday (including bank holidays), performance bonus, private healthcare
  • Salary: Competitive (£27-30K depending on experience)

We’re one of the UK’s leading distributors of power electronic components and we’re looking for an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our team. As a major player in the power electronics industry, GD Rectifiers has built a remarkable reputation over the past 50 years and are proud to work on some of Britain’s biggest and most exciting rail, automotive, aviation, medical and industrial projects.

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and experienced CNC programmer to support our CNC team. This role requires good communication skills, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The successful candidate will be hardworking and have a positive attitude, playing a pivotal role in enhancing the company’s productivity.

Accountabilities

  • Strong ability to program, set and operate a Cincinnati CNC Machine
  • Assembly work within the production team
  • Responsible for the movement of stock using a forklift
  • General warehouse/factory duties
  • Report directly to the Factory Supervisor

Skills & Experience

  • Advanced level of experience operating Cincinnati CNC machines with Heidenhain controls
  • Excellent working knowledge of CNC Machines and Heidenhain controls
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and liaise with the sales team on jobs
  • Compliant with all Health & Safety procedures
  • Forklift license desired but not essential
  • Willingness to work as a team and work on other factory areas when required
  • A positive, can do attitude and approach to your work
  • A minimum of 1-year experience in a CNC Machining role or as an apprentice
