GD Rectifiers Macmillan Coffee Morning 2024

Here at GD Rectifiers, we’ve signed up to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning for the second year, taking place on Wednesday 25th September 2024 from 12:15-1:30pm. All members of staff will be encouraged to bring something in, whether they have baked or bought something to donate, all items will be nut-free.

The Macmillan Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest annual fundraiser and helps raise vital funds for those living with cancer. Macmillan’s coffee mornings brings people together, including friends, family, work colleagues, neighbours and even new people to share delicious bakes and maybe a game or two, all whilst raising money for this fantastic charity. Macmillan Cancer Support is an important charity to many people as cancer touches so many of our lives.

This year M&S Café is headline sponsoring the Macmillan Coffee Morning and will host their own celebrations in over 300 M&S Cafés across the UK. M&S will generously donate 5p for every cake and coffee sold throughout September, including their famous Magic Magic Coffee®.

Join us at GD Rectifiers, and thousands of people across the UK who are raising money by participating in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. The money you raise or donate at your Coffee Morning will help many people living with cancer to live life as fully as they can.

GD Rectifiers will be delivering any leftover savoury and cake items to Woodlands Nursing Home in Burgess Hill on Wednesday 25th September 2024.

Macmillan’s first coffee morning started back in 1990 with guests donating the cost of their drink to Macmillan. Today, the events are so popular and help raise millions of pounds for Macmillan, in 2023 alone, the coffee mornings raised over £18 million.

With 3 million people currently living with cancer in the UK, statistically one in three of us will get cancer in our lifetime and that’s where Macmillan comes in. Macmillan Cancer Support is 98% funded by voluntary donations so together we will help people living with cancer to find their best way through, from the moment they’re diagnosed through treatment and beyond. Please join us in supporting Macmillan this year and donate to our coffee morning if you can.
