Busbar Insulators
Our wide range of DMC insulators are encapsulated with M6, M8 or M10 inserts with optional male studs also available.
Busbar Insulators
GD Rectifiers stock a wide range of Busbar Insulators designed for local high current power distribution.
We use these busbar insulators in our own assemblies and use them to mount power fuses and heatsinks that require high mechanical strength, low tracking index and voltage insulation. Hexagonal sections allow easy mechanical assembly and can be joined together to create longer lengths.
Our range of hexagonal DMC insulators are encapsulated with M6, M8 or M10 inserts with optional male studs also available.
We also offer high voltage busbar insulators made from fiberglass-reinforced polyester, a bonded material with higher moisture and heat tolerance than plastic insulators and molded for high strength. They are shatter-resistant, have a working temperature of 160°C, with high arc resistance and reduced flammability. The material offers great mechanical strength to enable electrical installers to increase closer height tolerances than with porcelain insulators, making the busbar insulators more suitable for ground bar and perimeter grounding applications.
The busbar insulators are UL94-V0 recognised, the industry standard set by UL (Underwriters Laboratories) for testing for flammability of plastics and rubber used in a wide range of applications including telephone receivers, computer screens and domestic ovens.
