Line Reactors
Enerdoor’s line reactors are ideal for automation and wind power applications. The line reactors have various connection options, including finger safe protection available upon request and devices are available with Nema 1 and Nema 3R enclosures.
Line Reactors
Line reactors are electro-magnetic devices, consisting of a steel core wrapped with copper coils and are also often referred to as inductors or chokes. The coil forms a magnetic field that allows a limited amount of current to flow through, reducing harmonics and protects electrical devices. Line reactors are used to protect motors and reduce power line distortion, from variable frequency drives. Line reactors are used in a number of applications to extend the life of VFDs and motors.
Line reactors are used as a cost-effective way to reduce harmonic distortion, are easy to add to an existing VFD and increases the reliability and life span of the VFD, provides protection against overvoltage trips, provides buffering against voltage spikes, reduces cross-talk between drives and prevents fuses and circuit breakers from blowing or tripping due to high current spikes.
Enerdoor’s Line Reactors
Enerdoor offers a comprehensive range of line reactors with 3% and 5% impedance and nominal voltage up to 750Vac. This series of line reactors meet the following international standards: CE marked, RoHS, UL-CSA and UL Recognised.
Enerdoor’s line reactors also reduce the amount of high frequency noise injected into power systems, improves true power factor, provide impedance between VFD’s and power system capacitors and reduces intermittent faults and problems of unknown origins.
