Converter Brake Inverter (CBI) Modules feature epitaxial free wheeling diodes with Hiperfast and soft reverse recovery, a standard package with insulated copper base plate and pins for PCB mounting with 2500 V (rms) isolation and are UL registered.

Converter Brake Inverter Modules
Suitable for AC motors, switch-mode power supplies or standalone solar power equipment
IXYS offer a wide range of six pack IGBTs, phase leg IGBTs and converter brake inverter modules. They are designed for a large range of applications such as: AC motors, switch-mode power supplies or standalone equipment for applications such as solar power and back up power supplies from batteries.
The IXYS six-pack modules integrate a three-phase inverter circuit into a single module, making it possible to create a compact design for the main circuit. IXYS’ wide range of power inverters convert the DC voltage to an AC voltage, with a range of 600V-2200V.
IXYS converter brake inverter modules feature a high level of integration with only one power semiconductor module required for the entire drive. IGBT technology allows for low saturation voltage, low switching losses and tail current, high RBSOA and short circuit ruggedness.
