Custom & flexible ordering

A thyristor is a solid-state semiconductor device with four layers of alternating N and P-type material. The device conducts when the gate receives a current trigger, and continue to conduct while they are forward biased, acting as bistable switches.

Discrete thyristors are available as stud screw-fit types for applications requiring robustness and easy assembly, and capsule (disc) types for high power applications. Thyristors are also known as Silicon-Controlled Rectifiers (SCRs).

The SKT 24/16E is ideal for battery charging, welding and plating equipment applications.
