Varistors
A varistor changes its resistance value automatically with the change in voltage across a device, making it a voltage-dependant and non-linear resistor (VDR). Varistors feature voltage and current characteristics suitable for both AC and DC voltage applications and are often used as the front-line solution for transient surge protection.
