Solar Protection Relays
Littelfuse offers two solar protection relay devices, EL731 – a microprocessor-based AC/DC relay and SE-601 – a DC device suited to solar and transportation systems.
Solar Protection Relays
Designed for solar and transportation systems
Littelfuse’s protection relays receives inputs such as current, voltage, resistance or temperature and compares them to set points and provides outputs such as visual feedback in the form of indicator lights, alphanumeric display, communications, control warnings, alarms and turning power off and on.
Littelfuse offers two devices, EL731 – a microprocessor-based AC/DC relay or SE-601 – a DC device suited to solar and transportation systems.
EL731
Operates on AC resistance grounded systems and DC grounded systems. Littelfuse’s EL731 is a microprocessor-based AC/DC sensitive earth-leakage relay that offers complete coverage for all frequencies from 0-6,000Hz. One CT can be used for only low-or high-frequency detection or two CT’s are required for the entire frequency range.
Supply Voltage (VAC): 24, 120/240
Supply Voltage (VDC): 24, 48, 120/240, 120/240
Relay Contacts: Three Form C (N.O./N.C)
SE-601
This device operates on DC ungrounded systems ranging from industrial 24Vdc control circuits to 1000Vdc solar and transportation systems. It provides sensitive ground-fault protection without the problems associated with nuisance tripping. Ground-fault current is sensed using an SE-GRM Series Ground-Reference Module – a resistor network that limits ground-fault current to 25mA.
Supply Voltage (VAC): 120-240
Supply Voltage (VDC): 100-240, 40-55, 12-30
Relay Contacts: One Form A (N.O.); One Form B (N.C.)
